The QJY-88, also known as the Type 88 LMG, is a 5.8x42mm Chinese light machine gun designed in the late 1980s by China North Industries Corporation, otherwise known as Norinco. It was intended to replace the obsolete Type 67 machine gun in service with the PLA.
There is almost little information about this gun as this one is somehow a failed copy of the FN Minimi, and it was either phrased out or transferred to People's Armed Police as their firearm.
Until the QYJ-201 came out, the PLA finally had the literally GPMG, and I don't think it would be possible to let me make a fxxking mod of QJZ-89 for M249
