Configuration
The settings and options can be configured in the WipeAssistant file under the config directory. The use of an editor and validator is recommended to avoid formatting issues and syntax errors. In reference to the Backpacks plugin:
- If "WipeBackpackOnPlayerJoin" is true, a player will have their backpack wiped the first time they join the server after a wipe. Their name will be added to the "WipeAssistant" data file to indicate that the have been wiped. Any time the player joins the in future, their backpack will not be re-wiped since their name is on the list. This ensures that players who haven't played in a while (i.e. players that have de-spawned) don't keep their inventory after a wipe.
- If "WipeBackpacks" is true when wipe.soft/wipe.hard is used, all active and sleeping players will have their backpacks wiped. Their names will be added to the "WipeAssistant" data file to indicate that they have been wiped. Any time the player joins in the future, their backpack will not be re-wiped since their name is on the list.
- Even if "WipeBackpackOnPlayerJoin" and "WipeBackpacks" are set to false, the players backpacks will be lost if you don't set the "Drop On Death" option to false in the Backpacks config file. Set these above options to false if you don't want backpacks wiped, period.
- Anytime a players backpack is wiped a backup copy will be created in backup\WipeAssistant\Backpacks folder.
- Deployables with an owner ID of 0 (Zero) will not be removed from the map. These include all resources and barrels, as well as buildings pasted using the Copy-Paste mod.
- Note: If you want to keep certain buildings through the wipe, then just set the owner to 0 (Zero).
